TACOS, TOSTADAS AND THE BEST SALSA MACHA YOU'VE EVER HAD.
A Modern Mexican experience you've probably never heard of, tucked in a West Adams backyard. Try it before it blows up...
If you walk 10 feet past the host stand at the charming West Adams Cento Pasta Bar and make a hard right, you'll discover a little backyard nook with string lights, partially under construction but charming in its own right.
It is there were the insanely talented Chef Andrew “Drew” Ponce is experimenting with a new modern Mexican concept of his own. He calls it a tí, meaning “for you” in Spanish, reflecting his dedication to sharing this new experience and his flavorful creations with all of us.
Like Bridgetown Roti, Little Fish, and Amiga Amore, many restaurant brick and mortars that we know and love started with an idea and a space to workshop different recipes. Here’s your chance to visit Chef Drew’s culinary playground, a lab and a work in progress where he dreams up your future favorite restaurant.
You heard it here first…

CHEF ANDREW PONCE
My name is Andrew Ponce, but in the industry, I go by Drew. Born and raised in LA, from Culver City to the SGV, cooking has been my passion for 11 years. I’ve honed my skills in renowned kitchens like J&V, Bestia, and Taco Maria, among others. Currently, I’m devoted to nurturing my latest endeavor, a tí. The name stems from the Spanish phrase “para ti,” meaning “for you,” reflecting my dedication to sharing my culinary creations directly with you. Growing up and cooking here, LA has shaped me profoundly, and I aspire to make my city proud. My cuisine embodies the essence of California with a pronounced Mexican influence, while also embracing diverse culinary inspirations. Expect a blend of familiar flavors and innovative, untraditional concepts. Gracias a ti for your support and encouragement!
