About Mama Fong
Mama (Julia) Fong is the matriarch of Woon Kitchen. In just three years since opening, they have become a fixture in the Echo Park culinary scene. Known for their down-home recipes, wok charred dishes achieving peak Wok Hei (loosely translating to “the breath of the wok”) and the chewiest, most delicious noodles in LA (not to mention the most stylish work-wear in the game and absolutely immaculate vibes), Mama Fong has established a new, lasting culinary tradition for generations to come.
About Chef Rashida Holmes
Rashida Holmes is an up and coming star on a meteoric rise in the Los Angeles culinary scene. Her pop-up Bridgetown seamlessly weaves the traditions and history of the Caribbean into her rendition of delicious, home style food. In March 2020, when the world came to a standstill, Chef Rashida transitioned her years of culinary experience into her own concept. Lines formed and grew, word spread, and suddenly Bridgetown Roti became the high water mark of Caribbean Cuisine in LA. In 2021, Eater named Bridgetown Roti Los Angeles’ 2021 Restaurant of the Year.
