"Wok Hei" is the smoky, sought-after flavor quality imparted by tossing ingredients in a ripping-hot wok. Loosely translating to "the breath of the wok," it's why stir fry tastes better when done by a master of the craft, and can make any ordinary dish extraordinary. So we got to thinking, what other cuisines can be elevated with this flavor?
Well, Shanna Lynn Milazzo of Conti's (also known as Picnic Sandwich) is teaming up with Historic Filipinotown all star Woon to prove out this hypothesis. In this special, one-night-only collaboration menu, they'll be serving up some outrageous Italian-Chinese crossover items featuring the best of both oeuvres, and letting wok shine. Just like Nonna used to make.

Pork + Beef Vee’s Red Sauce wok tossed with Woon Chewy Noodles, topped with ricotta and Thai basil, and served with side of Woon Mama’s Way Hot Sauce.
