No PR blitz. No months-out reservations. Just a last-minute kitchen takeover at Thunderbolt, the #1 bar in LA and home to one of the most quietly excellent food programs in the city.
$25 ticket includes a Chilte exclusive off-menu dish, a collab cocktail of your choice, and a reserved table to order whatever else you want. *we highly recommend going all out on this one*
Chef Lawrence “LT” Smith went from NFL to the kitchen and that’s not even the most interesting thing about him. His pop-up turned brick and mortar made all the lists (Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, and James Beard Awards) not the mention being one of three nation-wide Chefs chosen by Taco Bell to reimagine the Crunchwrap Supreme.
We got word of szechuan agave hot chicken sandwiches, oxtail mole tamales, and a beer & corn semifreddo but you’ll have to show up to know for certain ;)

THUNDERBOLT - Thunderbolt is what happens when a technique-driven cocktail bar is distilled down to its core and reimagined as a neighborhood watering hole. We've omitted the pretense and theater to provide a more accessible hospitality experience.This same approach applies to our drink-making: remove anything superfluous, leave the fussy glassware and garnishes to the influencers, and add only what creates a more efficient, more sustainable, and most importantly, more delicious cocktail.
