Chef Mike Obedoza came to food the same way he came to skating, with a DIY mentality, a community-first ethos, and the conviction that Filipino flavors belong everywhere.
On August 15th, Biite brings Mike Obedoza of Banger Lumpia to Brewyard Beer Co.'s award-winning taproom in Glendale for a one-day pop-up built around his Best Burger-winning Lumpia Smashburger.
Ticket includes two smashed beef patties inspired by Lumpia Shanghai, layered with melted cheddar cheese, avocado, jalapeños, house-made pickles, garlic mayo, and finished with a crispy lumpia chip on a toasted bun. Paired with a beer flight from Brewyard's lineup: a Calamansi lager, a West Coast IPA, a Peach Mango Pie collab, and an Ube IPA that somehow works as dessert.
