ATTN: ZOË FOOD PARTY IS BACK
From Collage Coffee to the Atwater Village Farmers' Market, Zoë brings back her iconic pita party with a fresh take.
What’s on the menu? That’s for you to decide.
You may recognize Zoë Komarin from the pre-pandemic Wednesday morning pita parties tucked behind Collage Coffee that quickly grew a cult following after her fluffy fresh-baked pita stuffed with unlikely, electric combinations: kimchi and Oaxaca cheese, halloumi with passion fruit curd, crispy brussels sprouts with spicy condensed milk and puffed rice. It was intuitive, playful, genreless, and just a little unhinged — in the best way. Always surprising, ultra colorful, and perhaps the perfect handheld expression of what LA’s farmers markets have to offer.
We’re happy to report that Zoë’s back, and she’s re-emerged with something even more personal: MouthBrain — a cooking philosophy, a creative practice, a portal into what happens when you let instinct lead and invite people to make food from the gut with the best produce you can find. It’s playful, communal, and a little chaotic — again, in the best way.
A GUIDED TOUR OF THE ATWATER FARMERS MARKET
Join Zoë on Sunday, June 15th for a market haul at the Atwater Village Farmers' Market, an intimate tour of her favorite growers, seasonal ingredients, shared stories, and a new kind of Pita Party.
A NEW VERSION OF HER OG PITA PARTY
No recipes. No rules. Just a table full of farmers market bounty, a pantry of curiosities, and a group of strangers ready to crush, smear, stack, and stuff a lot of flavor into a wildly good pita — then eat it, together.
ZOË KOMARIN
With 16+ years in food, Zoë founded NYTimes heralded Cafe Xoho, and her LA based pop-ups and events are beloved by both Eater and LA Times alike. Now, as the creative force behind The Food Party she is known for her passion for elevating seasonal ingredients and fostering community through food. Inspired by her love of hands-on learning and improvisation, Zoe created Zoe Food Party to bring people together over shared experiences and extraordinary meals. MouthBrain, the term Zoë invented to describe that magical link between food and memory, is at the core of all that she does. Asking people to step inside their mouthbrains and allow their memories to serve as inspiration.
