Tagine and Tea in the Maydan Tents
One of LA's most transportative dining experiences in hidden in plain sight...
Behind the dining room at Maydan is a cluster of Moroccan tents. Layered with textiles and lit by lanterns, stepping inside feels strangely disorienting in the best way, as if you've wandered much farther than West Adams.
On July 30, they're ours for the night.
We're gathering 24 people to cook tagine with Moroccan chef Yasmina Ksikes and eat dinner under the lanterns with Rose Previte of Maydan. You'll learn to make tagine on the East Patio in small groups, then gather in the tents as the sun goes down. Rose will pour her absinthe tea service. The tagines will come out. Dinner will be served under lantern light, with passed appetizers and the kind of slow, unhurried evening that's harder and harder to find in this city.
(Ticket includes one cocktail and an absinthe tea service. Additional cocktails will be available for purchase on site)
