Fatty Mart is a modern Asian market and neighborhood bodega concept from Chef David Kuo — a first-generation Angeleno and the force behind Little Fatty in Mar Vista. Inspired by Taiwanese convenience stores, late-night street food culture, and corner delis, it's a space where everyday comfort food, curated pantry goods, and playful cultural storytelling all collide.

At the center of the menu is the Fatty Fold — a crispy, flaky scallion pancake folded and filled with rotating combinations of Taiwanese and American flavors. It became a signature almost immediately: nostalgic and indulgent, fast-paced and deeply rooted in Asian street food culture, while feeling entirely at home in LA. Kuo has built the brand over more than a decade in Mar Vista, starting with Status Kuo in 2014 and eventually reconcepting as Little Fatty to focus on Taiwanese soul food — the cooking he grew up eating. Fatty Mart is the latest chapter: a neighborhood institution with a bodega heart and a chef's eye.
