Those bits of crispy rice at the bottom of the cast iron are like the marshmallows in Lucky Charms cereal as kids. 

There's one thing we can all agree on: WE WANT MORE. 

We called up ORIGIN KBBQ, the newest member of the restaurant group behind the beloved Quarters, and aired our grievances about this perpetual crispy rice shortage. Good news... they had a solve:

THE LUNCH SPREAD (FEEDS TWO)

Extra Crispy Kimchi Fried Rice - The two staples in Korean cuisine meet together in one dish - rice and kimchi, duh! We believe the origin of Kimchi Fried Rice was in the early 20th century when a "non-stick frying pan" became widely popularized in Korea. From street food stands to bars/restaurants and even at homes, Kimchi Fried Rice has become a beloved dish. It is a testament to how Korean cuisine can transform simple, everyday ingredients into a hearty and flavorful meal - and at ORIGIN, you can get it EXTRA crispy with our secret recipe and ingredients. 

Tteok-Galbi - Minced, Seasoned Grilled Beef Ribs (THEY'RE INSANE) - This dish was originally served only to the royal family, created to refine the way bone-in short ribs Galbi was eaten without needing to use one's hands to eat off the bone. We follow the tradition of kneading and shaping finely minced meat and prepare it with our house-special marinades. You typically don’t see this dish in a lot of Korean restaurants so you’re in for a real treat. 

Signature Banchan -  Chopped Salad with Olive Oil dressing | Leafy Vegetables for your ssam | House-made Diced Radish Kimchi | Fresh wasabi mixed with Korean wild leek | House-made Barley Ssamjang | Mashed potato salad | Scallion Salad | Pickled pink sliced radish | Freshly chopped jalapeno mixed with soybean paste | Slices of rice paper wraps for your ssam 

Shikhye Rice Punch - A traditional Korean fermented drink made of rice and malt. A sweet treat that soothes digestion after a Korean BBQ feast. 


Tickets are sold in 2s, seated at communal tables. Enjoy with your +1 or make new friends and indulge in the full communal KBBQ experience as it was always intended. 


ORIGIN KBBQ

The newest member of the restaurant group behind LA’s beloved Quarter’s KKBQ, located just across the Koreatown plaza. ORIGIN’s retro yet industrial design transports guests to 1960’s Seoul, where the city was confronting a colonial past and radical modernization. With just a few months open, ORIGIN has established itself as a must-visit KBBQ destination known for their house-specials like Beef Brisket Soybean Paste Hotpot with Ramen and their barchan and Tteok-galbi.
