Chef Jessica Koslow and the team at Sqirl normalized the year-round latke and for that we are forever grateful. 

But there are eight days a year when we celebrate the miracle of crispy spuds and the Virgil Village cafe that believed in the humble potato pancake from the very beginning.

On December 8th– the second night of Hannukah— Sqirl's dropping hot potatoes and you’re gonna wanna catch one.

    Jessica Koslow is the chef and owner of Sqirl, a preserves company and cafe favorite in Virgil Village, LA. Since its opening in 2011, Sqirl has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Vogue, and Koslow has been nominated for a James Beard Award for Best Chef: West. Her first book, Everything I Want to Eat, was nominated for a James Beard Award and was named Eater’s Cookbook of the Year.
