And when it comes to this exclusive party celebrating the one year anniversary of his iconic Chinatown eatery Angry Egret Dinette, he's not playing around at all.

Introducing: The GTA.

The GTA, or Gran Torta Avila, is a monument to the limitless potential of the sandwich format. Local, seasonal, and absolutely delicious, the GTA features: 

Seasonal spiny lobsters, caught wild right here off the coast of Los Angeles. Wild foraged Matsutake mushrooms, scored and seared to perfection. End-of-the-season heirloom tomatoes. All brought together sautéed in butter and piled high on his signature torta-style bread, with a generous layer of his diabolically delicious Salsa Negra. 

This exclusive ticketed event not only comes with the GTA menu item, but will also feature ice cold Tecates, and a limited-edition, 11x17 poster commemorating the occasion, personally signed by Chef Avila himself.
